TRANSGENDER LEARNING SERIES

Language, Gender Identity, and Power: Creating Mutual Safety For A Flourishing Day

by Dr. Tenzin Mingyur Paldron for Seattle and King County Public Health (October 2021 and 2023, new curriculum coming for 2023)

I crafted a humanities-style engagement that accessibly linked concepts, history, current events, gentle exercises, and personal storytelling. I helped employees develop a sense of connectedness to issues and each other over the course of two sessions.

Each session had its own organizing theme and question or aim. For example, Session 1’s theme was The individual and the community. Its question was “Locating ourselves in public: Who is this space for?”.
